Special Occasion Dressing
Theatres are reopening and I’m looking forward to the return of some events and culture. Part of this is having a reason to dress up again, to go all out and wear something that makes me feel sparkly. For me, it’s part of the experience, going somewhere fabulous and dressing the part.
I love event dressing if you haven’t noticed. I’ve put together some outfits to serve as inspiration. I want to show you how to combine different styles and elements to create an outfit with WOW. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to feel fabulous, you just need to get a little creative :)
A satin jacquard dress is a timeless piece that can be worn for many different occasions. For an evening look, pair with metallic accessories.
A velvet coat adds dramatic effect to the simplest outfit.
Invest in a beautiful jacket. If you mostly wear black for special occasions, choose a statement jacket in a bold colour.
A wrap shirt can be dressed up with a statement pant or skirt. Adding a satin shoe completes an evening look.
Adding a sophisticated jacket to a delicate dress, gives a striking contrast between masculine and feminine styles. You can choose to play up either piece with your accessories.
A cropped jacket and heeled boot add formality to a dress. Opt for accessories that tie in with the print of colour of your dress.
